Have you ever heard about a seaside paradise located on Rio de Janeiro's coast?
Búzios used to be a small fishersman's village that gained international knowledge when Brigitte Bardot fell in love for the place. Now this lovely city has its charm and also incredible beaches and places to get married.
The peninsula is a travelling site that offers calmness, direct contact with nature and scenic views. The west coast beaches offer calm, clear waters while the east coast ones, facing the open sea, are more wild and draw surfers and water sports enthusiasts. At night, Rua das Pedras, Búzios' main street, offers its visitors an active nightlife and a great variety of shopping and restaurants.
We recently visited a few venues in Búzios where you can have your wedding. The city offers a variety of places for all types of weddings and also a lot of hotels where your guests can have the perfect stay.

Located in front of Ferradura beach, this venue is perfect for medium to large weddings. It has the perfect beach vibe combined with a colonial style of the hotel. With a large pool, outside space for the ceremony and big indoor space for the party this is a great choice for those who want a beachside wedding without losing the refinement of the event.
All rooms must be booked to host the wedding and you can have close friends and family all together for other events such as a rehearsal dinner or a after party brunch.
This Boutique hotel is a perfect piece of the mediterreanean in the middle of Buzios. With a colorful and unique decoration the hotel is the perfect venue for a small or even a elopement wedding.
It is located in front of Ossos beach, with calm waters and privacy. The original fishermen house from the 40’s has been finely renovated but kept with its original style, and it now hosts the Hotel’s reception which opens up into a vast central patio where the wedding can be hosted.
This venue is also perfect for guests to stay if the wedding is taking place at the nearby Sant’anna church or at the yatch club.
Villa Rasa is the spot for big weddings. Located at Praia Rasa, the hotel has a lot of space to host parties with up to 350 guests. With an outdoor area for the ceremony and party this is the place if you want great views of the sea and to have all your guests with you for the whole weekend.
Their Buffet is exclusive and incredible and the pool is perfect for a bachelorette party the day before the wedding.
